It has some really cool warp modes for the wavetables that can be quite radically different to those in Serum. You’ll find a whole range of new possibilities inside Vital – we’d be here all day if we listed all the cool stuff it can do. It looks awesome and has a ton of cool design hacks that come in handy when you’re making sounds.
It features the same drag-and-drop modulation you are used to with other synths, but I noticed it lets you “preview” modulation choices before you make them.īasically what this means is as you drag a modulation source over a destination, you hear the change it makes before you release the mouse. If you’re anything like me, you will let out a squeal of delight when you first try it. Visually, it reminds me a bit of Dexed, which is another free synth we’ll look at a bit later.
